Nope! Most of the time, you can just book directly with us—no referral needed. But if you’re hoping to claim a Medicare rebate (more on that below!), you’ll need a referral from your GP under a Chronic Disease Management Plan.
-
Yes, there can be! If your GP refers you under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (used to be called an Enhanced Primary Care Plan), you might be able to get a Medicare rebate for up to 5 sessions a year. Just check with your GP and our clinic to make sure everything’s set up right.

Wear something comfy and easy to move in! You might be doing some gentle exercises, so stretchy pants or leggings are perfect. And don’t stress—if we need to do an internal exam (which isn’t always necessary!), we’ll make sure you’re comfortable and know exactly what’s happening every step of the way.

Oh, mama, I hear you! While it’s common, it’s definitely not something you just have to live with. Leaking a little (or even a lot) is often a sign that your pelvic floor muscles need some TLC. These muscles work so hard during pregnancy and childbirth, and sometimes they need a little rehab to get back to their strong, supportive selves. The good news? Pelvic floor physio can help you regain control and confidence.
-
First, take a deep breath—you’re not alone, and this is absolutely something we can work on together. That “heavy” or “bulging” feeling might be a sign of pelvic organ prolapse, which happens when your pelvic floor muscles and tissues aren’t supporting your organs as well as they used to. It’s way more common than you’d think, especially after having kids. The great news is that physio can help strengthen those muscles and improve your symptoms. Let’s chat about it!
-
I totally get that fear—it’s so valid! The key is to start slow and focus on exercises that support your pelvic floor, rather than strain it. Jumping into high-impact stuff like running or jumping without the right prep can put extra pressure on your pelvic floor, but that doesn’t mean you have to give up on fitness altogether. Let’s work together to create a safe, personalized plan that helps you feel strong and confident—without worrying about leaks or discomfort.
-
Nope, it’s never too late! Your pelvic floor is made of muscles, and just like any other muscle in your body, they can get stronger with the right exercises and guidance. Whether your kids are toddlers, teenagers, or even adults, pelvic floor physio can still make a huge difference in how you feel. So don’t let time hold you back—your body deserves care and support at any stage of life.
-
Not at all! In fact, pelvic floor physio can be amazing during pregnancy. It can help you prepare for childbirth, manage pelvic pain, and even reduce your risk of issues like prolapse or leaking later on. We’ll tailor everything to your stage of pregnancy and make sure you’re safe and comfortable.
-
Not necessarily—while an internal exam can give us a lot of helpful info about your pelvic floor muscles, it’s not always required. We’ll always talk through your options and make sure you’re comfortable with whatever approach we take. Your comfort and consent are our top priorities.

Virtual Consults are the perfect solution if you live too far away to visit me, or if you're simply finding juggling work and caregiving has been making clinic appointments impossible.
I am able to use either video-call or phone-call, to firstly interview you about your symptoms, and then guide you through assessment options - think diaries, questionnaires, and/or specific physical self-tests for pelvic floor coordination, strength, abdominal separation, or posture.
Then using that information I can analyse findings, answer your questions in real time, and then together we can create a plan for managing your concerns, linking in with your GP to request specific referrals, prescriptions or assessments (think xray/ultrasound) if anything further is needed.
Treatment is also easy - I am able to share information and talk you through easy-to-follow resources like blogs, videos, and tips for managing common issues like leaking, prolapse, or painful sex. And of course if you ever need to check-in between sessions, I’m just an email or message away.
Regardless of your concerns, virtual consults can be game-changers. Whether it’s during naptime, or on your lunch break, you can still access supports without driving, scheduling babysitters, or even leaving your home/office—less stress...just you, your pelvic health, and me cheering you on every step of the way.

YOU DESERVE TO FEEL GOOD.
I’ve learned a lot in 10+ years of clinical practice. My biggest lesson? From assessment to on-going care, there’s nothing more important than your comfort. That’s why your treatment is 100% led by you.
If you’re struggling with leakage, painful sex, or any kind of pelvic dysfunction, let’s create a plan to get you feeling your best.
